Together, they ensure members have access to ongoing learning, meaningful support for their wellbeing, and a voice in departmental decision-making.
Continuing Medical Education Committee
The CME Committee organizes and delivers the Department’s weekly educational rounds, ensuring members have consistent access to high-quality, relevant continuing medical education.
Conference Planning Committee
The Conference Planning Committee coordinates the two annual conferences the Department hosts: the Annual Family Practice Review and the Western Hospitalist Conference, including setting topics and themes, speaker selection and logistics (with the support of UBC Continuing Professional Development).
Wellness Committee
The Wellness Committee supports member wellbeing through the annual department social and other events held throughout the year, alongside providing supports to identify, understand and address physician burnout.
Executive Committee
Comprising division heads and departmental leaders, the Executive Committee meets regularly to discuss proposed changes and set the strategic direction of the Department.
