Programs

Ministry of Health Research Seed Grant Program

The Ministry of Health Research Seed Grant Program provides funding to universities in British Columbia to produce research that responds to the Ministry of Health’s research questions.

UBC Health is pleased to announce the next cycle of the Ministry of Health Research Seed Grant Program. The BC Ministry of Health is offering funding to researchers at UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan to address provincial health priorities. 

For this funding round, the Ministry has prioritized 2 streams with 12 research questions spanning themes such as: 

·         Public health and climate  

·         Health workforce  

·         Indigenous health  

·         Health economics  

·         Stroke care and recovery  

·         Academic clinical contracts  

·         Substance use and opioid treatment 

·         Glucose Monitoring

The call for proposals is now open, and Notices of Intent are due October 8, 2025. 

Shortlisted project leads will consult with the Ministry of Health regarding their selected research question and proposed project. Full applications from invited applicants will be due January 7, 2026.
